The Vallejo/Benicia/Solano County/Bay Area community lost a great journalist and philanthropist recently - Richard Freedman. There wasn't a cause he wouldn't lend a hand to, if asked. He was a friend to me and so many throughout the area. He went out of his way to support local musicians such as myself, and many well-known comedians. There will be a “Celebration of Life” at Vallejo's Empress Theatre on Sunday May 5th - 3pm. Expect loads of music and comedy. He wouldn't want all the fuss, but I suspect he would love this show. Proceeds will go to help his wife and family through this difficult time. Hope to see you there.
